Honor Fallen Servicemembers Memorial Day Weekend
AmeriCorps has joined forces with the Travis Manion Foundation and its #TheHonorProject initiative to offer surrogate services for families of fallen military who are not able to visit their loved one’s gravesites due to COVID-19. TMF and AmeriCorps are deploying volunteers to visit six National Cemeteries to pay respects and place commemorative Flags of Valor at gravesites.

- Share a photo of your fallen hero and their story using the hashtag #TheHonorProject
- If you are looking for someone to honor, visit the TMF website for stories of fallen heroes whose families have served with Travis Manion Foundation.
How to Get Involved
- If you are near one of the six National Cemeteries, simply arrive at the start time and you will be assigned a team leader and provided all the necessary instructions.
- If you aren’t near one of this year’s cemeteries, you can participate virtually and you are invited to follow #TheHonorProject for other commemorative activities planned to honor fallen servicemembers and their families.
